Otis Dwight Wheeler

April 14, 2007
I reached out to the reference librarian at the Brookline (Massachusetts) in search of a genealogical society or group in Brookline that can help me find more information on Willard Wheeler and Emily (nee Stanford) Wheeler, my second great grandparents. Anne Clark, the reference librarian, was very helpful but unfortunately wasn't able to locate any information on Willard or Emily. However, she was able to find their Son Otis Dwight Wheeler through 1949.

Come to find out that Otis was a furniture mover first with 'Lord & Wheeler' and later with 'Otis D. Wheeler & Co.'.

Anne was kind enough to provide the name of the Town Clerk to see if she can help me find the death certificates of Willard, Emily, Otis and Harriet.

Google MyMaps

April 06, 2007
It's been a while since I've done an entry (you know, getting married and all) so I thought I better do some catching up. Google recently released Google MyMaps. It allows you to create maps of favorite restaurants, places you've been, places you would like to go, etc. However, these maps can easily be used for genealogical purposes whether it is places you would like to research, cousins, or tombstones.

Enjoy!
