For serveral years our family, no matter what day of the week that St. Patrick's Day fell, took the day off and went to a drinking hole nearby named the Irish Mill. Now I have only recently, within the last few years, begun participating in this tradition. Despite that fact, I didn't want to be the cause for breaking that tradition even if it was for a good reason :-). So complete in our wedding day garb fresh from the church we made sure to stop by to continue our tradition. As Amy mentioned, I don't think the two of us heard "congratulations" so many times in 30 minutes in all of our lives.

From start to finish it was a great day. It was a beautiful mass and ceremony. Father Lange delivered a very touching homily and was very helpful in making sure that we did and said what we were supposed to when we were supposed to. We were also very fortunate in that every one that said was going to attend not only was able to make the reception but also attended the mass. The reception was spectacular with a view of the city from the room. Dinner was superb and Amy even surprised me with a wedding pie!

And so as of yesterday, the tree grew a few more branches! Stay tuned for the new branches!
